Wintergreen Park

We spent the day at Wintergreen Park, just outside Sharon Springs, with some friends. Let me just say that this place is awesome.

Think wading in clear water surrounded by 200-foot shale cliffs;

 think waterfalls that you can slide down

(yeah, there are leeches, so I didn't do it, but there were kids doing it, and it looked like they had a ton of fun);

 think swimming hole.

This was my favorite spot - you could walk up the waterfalls or work your way into the deeper water via these shale ledges. And, there was a nice "shore" of shale so you could stash your stuff in a dry spot.

Oh yeah, this is the perfect spot in the summer.... Ahhhh...
